Harris) was principal of Romney High School (6 years) before becoming Superintendent of the Schools for the Deaf and Blind (12 years). <br /><br />Also. My version of the "flower story" on my parents' wedding day is different from what is written. Aunt Mary and Uncle Russell arrived at the home farm, and, although she was carrying the flowers (white snapdragons), she exclaimed, "Oh, Russell, We forgot the flowers!" They all laughed when they pointed that out to her. I was never told that Aunt Mary "planned" the wedding. My grandmother prepared a meal featuring chicken salad. Nina brought in ferns to decorate the mantel of the room where the wedding was held since the ceremony could not be outdoors due to rain. Only the photos were outside.
